Orientation Information for New Cadets
The Air Force Cadet Orientation Program (ACOP) will be held this fall at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for all incoming freshmen to the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, regardless of what school the student will be attending. This program seeks to give new students a jumpstart on what the next four years will require of them, as well as an early opportunity to meet their classmates and peers before the semester starts.
This year, ACOP will be held 21-23 August with an early move-in date of 20 August for RPI students. Please email AFROTC to sign up and get more information!
Prior to attending Rensselaer, cadets must complete the forms listed below and email them to AFROTC.
- USAF Drug and Alcohol Abuse Certificate
- Pre-Participatory Sports Physical Form
- Record of Emergency Data Form
- Privacy Act Statement - Health Care Records
- Recruit/Trainee Prohibited Activities Acknowledgment Form
- DoDMETS Personal Information Form
- Mail Access Form
- Memorandum of Understanding for Drug Testing Policy for Cadets Participating in ROTC
- Student Records Release Consent Form
Additionally, all cadets should be able to meet the fitness standards by the time they start ACOP. The 1.5-mile, one-minute push-ups, and one-minute situps will be the components tested.
