
TSgt Richard R. Major-Oliphant serves as the NCOIC of Administration Management for the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 550 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. In this role, he leads and oversees all administrative operations and support for the Detachment’s Cadet Wing, ensuring seamless coordination of scholarships, enlistments, and training. He plays a vital role in shaping future Air Force officers by providing guidance and support to align administrative actions with policy and strategic objectives.
TSgt Major-Oliphant, originally from Thomasville, Georgia, enlisted in the Air Force in September 2010. Following his enlistment, he attended Tech School at Keesler AFB. Throughout his distinguished career, TSgt Major-Oliphant has held various pivotal roles at the squadron, NAF, and HQ levels. Notably, before assuming his current position, he served as the Commander Support Staff, Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge for the 51st Intelligence Squadron at Shaw Air Force Base, SC.
